The CIMBA Leadership Team
CIMBA’s leadership team is broad and diverse. In Italy, it includes Founder and President Al Ringleb and Executive Director Cristina Turchet. In the United States, it includes University of Iowa Tippie College of Business Interim Dean Amy Kristof-Brown and CIMBA Director Stephanie Schnicker. And around the world, it includes a Board of Advisors that helps CIMBA support its mission of leading the way in global business education through study abroad, MBA, and executive programs.
Founder and President
Dr. Al Ringleb teaches business law to CIMBA undergraduates and statistics to MBA students. He is also at the heart of the research and teaching related to the CIMBA Leadership Institute. Dr. Al, as he is known to students, holds a J.D. from the University of Kansas and a Ph.D. in Economics from Kansas State University. He has received several research grants including a grant for a transportable education program for Latin America. He has developed full-time MBA campuses in Italy and Germany, developed the Institutes for International Business Studies in Ljubljana, Slovenia and Croatia, and has served on numerous academic boards, including the Open Universities of Europe, the Institute for Pacific Asia, and the Forum of Scientists and Specialists for Soviet-American Dialogue. Dr. Al received the Distinguished Teaching Award and Research Fellow for the Center for International Business Studies from Texas A&M University; Faculty Extern for Esso Eastern in Hong Kong; and the Earhart Fellow for Mont Pelrin Society Meetings in St. Vincent, Italy. He also was a charter member of the Phi Beta Delta Honor Society for International Scholars. He is the author of numerous published research articles and has co-authored two books.Read More Contact
Cristina Turchet is executive director for CIMBA in Italy, where she manages and oversees all of the daily CIMBA operations, including working with prospective and current students, parents, and faculty in the study abroad, MBA, and executive programs. She also teaches Kepner-Tregoe (KT) problem-solving and decision-making courses to CIMBA students at all levels, bringing her real world experiences into the classroom. Turchet earned a degree in Economics and Commerce at the University of Venice before working as a marketing manager for a leading software company and earning her MBA from CIMBA’s first graduating class through Clemson University. In addition to teaching CIMBA students, Turchet continues to train managers and entrepreneurs at some of Europe’s leading companies.Read More Contact
University of Iowa Tippie College of Business Interim Dean
Amy Kristof-Brown was named interim dean of the Henry B. Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa in 2019. Amy received her Ph.D. in organizational behavior and human resource management from the University of Maryland in 1997. Since that time, she has been employed at the Henry B. Tippie College of Business. She was the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship’s department executive officer from 2013 to 2017 before she became the senior associate dean. Amy currently holds the position of Henry B. Tippie Research Professor in Management and became the interim dean on March 1, 2020. Her research interests focus on the compatibility or fit between individuals and their work environments. This has led her to study how impression management relates to person-job and person-organization fit in job interviews, person-team compatibility, strategies to reduce misfit, person-country fit for expatriates, and top management team-CEO goal compatibility. She is a fellow of the American Psychological Association and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
