To apply for either the Summer or Semester Undergraduate Study Abroad programs, please complete the following  application form. You should only use this application if you are a University of Iowa undergraduate student. If you are a graduate student or if you do not attend the University of Iowa, please select the correct application process from this list. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until the program is full. Space is limited, so apply early.

Address what you hope to gain from an international experience as well as how you can contribute to the global community as a student abroad. Also, please describe how study abroad fits in with your professional goals. Your personal statement should be a minimum of 250 words. This is required as part of the application process.     • References assist CIMBA in determining your ability to succeed in the program and are contacted at our discretion. The person listed as a reference must be acquainted with your academic achievements and be able to assess your potential for success in a study abroad program. Someone listed as a reference should know you in your university environment (not a high school teacher) and should be academic in nature (professor, instructor, teaching assistant, advisor, etc.)
    • Note: If your GPA is under 2.75 you will need your recommender to submit a letter of recommendation in order to be considered for admission.
