Ben Wolfe

CIMBA UG Semester Program Fall 2003, Spring 2004 and Summer 2004 Iowa State University

Ben Wolfe, a 2006 alumni from Iowa State University, first came to CIMBA as an undergraduate student in 2003. He impressed the staff so much that he was then selected to serve as a Resident Assistant for the following semester and spent more than 10 months in Italy. Ben believes that a large portion of his success today is a direct result of the independent leadership and personal adaptation confidence he gained while at CIMBA. The skills of process optimization and improvement that were taught in class through CIMBA’s partnership with Kepner-Tregoe have been extremely valuable in his career as a healthcare IT consultant. Ben has committed his life to improving the health care system and is currently working at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, the largest in Illinois and # 6 nationally. Ben shares that “part of the attraction to living abroad is the “friction” that inevitably occurs in day-to-day circumstances. Once you learn to love the small, unexpected surprises of everyday life, and the enjoyment in overcoming or adapting to them, it’s a lifelong skill that can keep you sharp and engaged in even the most difficult circumstances down the road.”
