The course is intended to familiarize participants with human behavioral models as they apply to manage individual and group behavior in complex business organizations.

In showing participants how to make well-reasoned decisions on human resource management issues, the course considers such topics as leadership, employee selection, motivation, conflict resolution, communication, job design, and evaluation.

The online edition of the course combines short lectures, interactive group work, and online presentations by the participants.

The course focuses on these aspects of Human Resource Management:

  • Different models of organizational structure for managing company employees.
  • Establishing criteria for strategic recruitment.
  • Decision making for human resources when faced with the pressure to restructure.
  • Assessing the impact of culture on the values of employees.

Who is Dominic Standish?

Experienced university lecturer with a demonstrated history of working in higher education.

Strong education professional skilled in research, lecturing, business training, journalism, and writing.

Since 2008 Standish is a lecturer at CIMBA/The University of Iowa. He teaches undergraduate, postgraduate students. He also teaches and trains business people for CIMBA’s Executive Program and In-Company Training. In these roles, he has created and delivered courses in human resource management, negotiations, presentations, meetings, and cross-cultural management.
