The final week…

Written by Natalie December 16, 2014

Three months later and this view still hasn't gotten old.

The past three months are coming to an end, and I never thought that this last week would come so quickly. We just had our last gourmet dinner and danced our night away among one another. It was a nice, relaxing, and fun way to end the semester with a bang. Toasts were shared, memories reminisced, and an end of the year video played in the background. Surprisingly, no tears were shed… yet.

When I first left for my semester abroad, I had no idea that Italy would become my new home. And I had absolutely no idea that I wouldn’t want to leave this place that I now regularly refer to as ‘home’ (sorry Mom). It’s especially nice to realize that CIMBA has given me many opportunities: travel, experience, meeting new people, and growth.

And now, similar to every other semester, hell week is upon us. Yes, finals are coming and studying is seemingly nonstop, but that doesn’t mean that we aren’t constantly among one another ignoring the fact that this time next week we’ll be heading on our ways.

Needless to say, I’m torn between going home and staying in Europe.
No matter what, Italy will always be a part of me.

Sincerely,
Natalie
