Becoming an Entrepreneur – Matteo Crescini, MBA class of 1995

Matteo Crescini is the Founder and Managing Director of Wireless Sensor Networks.
Wireless Sensor Networks  (WSN4Life) is an engineering company he founded in 2004 as the starting point and professional turning point of a close-knit group of people.

It produces innovation, on a project basis, on the order of customers (in Italy and abroad) with which it seeks solutions to problems in the provision of value-added health services for a patient with chronic pathology.

Over time, some projects became products, others turned into further projects and start-ups, in a snowball effect on the company’s overall value chain, which has continued to grow (see www.stimolazionecognitiva.it).

The company has received several recognitions and innovation awards, the last one in 2020  inside the EU project l Horizon 2020, the EU program for research and innovation.

Matteo graduated from the University of Brescia in 1993 and in 1995 obtained through CIMBA the Clemson MBA degree.  After the MBA, he worked in Nissan Italy in Rome, Wella in Mantua, and Yahoo!In Milan.

In 2013, Matteo was part of a selected European group that attended a Digital Health Master Class, sponsored by Johnson & Johnson Innovation.

A Consulting Life Journey – Mauro Schiavon, MBA Class 2001

Mauro Schiavon after a degree in Foreign trade in Venice in 1999,  joined the CIMBA MBA Program and graduated in Kansas in 2001.

His first job got him involved in an ERP Oracle implementation. From that job in Feltre, life brought him to the US where he started his consulting career.

He is now a Principal at Deloitte Consulting LLP and serves as the Americas Oracle Alliance Leader as well as the US Oracle Offering CMO. He is responsible for the strategy, ongoing development, and growth of marketplace relationships with Oracle across Deloitte in the Americas. Mauro is also focused on driving the growth of the US Oracle offering through innovative marketing campaigns.

In addition to his roles in Deloitte’s Global Oracle practice, Mauro serves Fortune 500 clients in the high-tech industry. He is advising organizations on how to design and execute the digital transformation of their core processes and operations by embracing cutting-edge capabilities like cloud, AI, cognitive, BlockChain, and IoT to drive stronger business outcomes.
