Making a Pizza Pie

Written by Chris Brummett April 16, 2018

As my time at CIMBA begins to come to a close, there has been an increasing feeling of pressure to maximize my time left in Italy. Luckily for me, I have been able to do some really cool activities (like pizza-making) even during the school week because of my class schedule.

On Monday night, several of my CIMBA classmates and I made our way over to a small pizzeria in Asolo and were instantly treated to a glass of wine as well as some fun facts about the pizza making process. Once we had a baseline knowledge of the craft, we lined up and began rolling out the dough and customizing our own pizzas with some oversight.

While some of my classmates really packed on the toppings, I kept it simple with my pie and went the route of only cheese and tomato sauce. Within about 10-15 minutes, we all had our personal pizzas (some in the shapes of hearts) and we were eating up on the second floor of the restaurant. The pizza was surprisingly one of the best pizzas I have had during my time in Italy, if not the best.

Until next time.. Ciao!
