Packing & Preparing: Italy Awaits!

I can’t believe the day is finally here… although I’m incredibly excited to embark on this adventure, I am a little nervous as well! This past week was full of last minute errands, trying to fit everything in my suitcase, and saying goodbye to friends and family. I have never been to Europe before, so this will be a month full of new experiences!

Out of the many study abroad opportunities available, I was most excited to learn about CIMBA. One of the main reasons that I chose CIMBA was because of the location. Nestled in a small town in the northern part of the country, it’s easily accessible to get to Venice while also providing a calmer area to live and study in. Another reason that it drew my attention was because of the extended weekends meant for travel, exploration, and reflection. I believe that having the chance to immerse myself into and explore the Italian culture is just as important as the academic classroom portions of the summer. Having an extra day on a few of the weekends to travel will allow me to soak up even more experiences and culture.

I can’t wait to see what I’ll end up doing within this month abroad. Although I’m not quite sure what it’s going to be like exactly, I’m certain that it will be a month of growth, learning, and fun…I just hope it doesn’t go by too fast 🙂
