Destination: Europe

Written by Natalie September 4, 2014

It’s finally here. Italy is finally here! Even now as I type it out it just doesn’t seem real, the realization that I will be studying abroad for three whole months across the world is just now becoming a reality. Excitement is an understatement.

I suppose I should introduce myself… My name is Natalie Butler, and I’m a proud Red Raider at Texas Tech University. I’m going into my junior year and I’m double majoring in Marketing and Management Information Systems. During the fall semester of 2014, I have the amazing opportunity to study abroad at The Consortium Institute of Management and Business Administration (CIMBA) in Paderno del Grappa, Italy.

I am fortunate enough to have traveled abroad before, but studying abroad for three whole months is going to be completely different. Everything I’ve read – from the travel weeks to the leadership programs – has quickly made me realize that I have chosen the right program. There is an endless list of things I’m looking forward to, but the food, traveling, and making new lifelong friends is a good starting point.

As I get ready to head to the airport in t-minus one hour, my excitement is heightening. The packing is mostly done, the ten days I spend in Europe with my dad before school begins is right in the grasp of my hands, and I’m so so so ready. I guess the next time you hear from me, I’ll be in Europe starting my own adventure abroad!

Ciao,
Natalie
