Wanderlust souls

Written by Jessica September 30, 2013

It takes a certain type of person to drop everything they have become accustomed to, leaving behind the contentment of known friendships, and the warm feeling of home, to journey into the unfamiliar.

To me, I find this process alluring and stimulating, and I have found 85 wanderlust spirits who have the same feelings that I do. Each of us had some moment that prompted us to come here, that desire deep in our hearts to explore. We have allowed ourselves to be open to all the lessons the world has to offer, as well as embrace all the beauty mother nature (and mankind) has been able to create.

Within two weeks, we have shared this identical feeling to hit the ground running. We have delve into the the culture with sampling local cuisine at the Pizzeria, or trekking to the top of Mount Grappa. And of course the casual indulge of the local wine.

Yet even without the exploring, we have found truth in each other by heading into this together. We have been able to find laughter in each others mishaps, as well as comfort   in each others vulnerability. Most importantly we have found  friendship in endless hours of conversation of where we have been, and where we are planning on going.

Two weeks in and I have found friends that make my excitement even greater for the next three months. This isn’t a journey to find ourselves, but rather a journey to embrace these moments with one another.
