Time really does fly by..

We just had our “CIMBA Prom” last night which is a formal dinner that all the students and staff attend to experience a full Italian meal. It was such a fun opportunity and one I definitely have never had before! We had a cocktail hour from about 8 to 9, brought inside and served appetizers, served the main course at about 10pm, and then continued the meal with a desert time followed by coffee to finish off the meal. I’ve never seen so much food for one meal! It was so fun to get dressed up and have a full Italian meal that we will never receive in the United States.

It’s the last week already and I have one morning of classes left and finals start tomorrow night! It feels like just yesterday I was riding the bus to campus and I’m already packing my bags to go home! This has been the craziest month of my life and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I’ve seen so much and experienced so many new things since I got here that it’s crazy I’ve only been here four weeks! These last few days are bittersweet since I miss home SO much but I know I’ll miss this place like crazy once I’m gone. There are definitely a few things I won’t miss: no toilet seats/holes in the ground, crazy drivers, and the most limited internet I’ve ever had in my life! The list of things I WILL miss: endless gelato, our campus, the ease of traveling all over the country, the culture, my fantastic statics class, and so many more things. This has really been a once in a lifetime experience that I’m so thankful I’ve been able to participate in!
