Roma!

I finally made it to the one place I’ve always dreamed of visiting.. Rome! It was every bit as amazing as I hoped it would be and I’m still in shock that I was there! We had a seven hour bus ride to Rome followed by taking the Metro (subway) to find our guest house. It happened that our guest house was in an actual apartment building so it took us a while longer to actually find the guest house but it turned out to be a really nice place that I would definitely return to!

Friday was the first full day in Rome and we decided to make it the day we would cover everything around the Vatican. It was a completely exhausting day but everything we saw was so beautiful! I don’t think I’ve ever been so in awe of artwork and architecture as I was when I walked into St. Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel. I will never find the right words to describe just how amazing they really are. The next day in Rome we decided we would see the Coliseum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and everything in between. Once again, I was left speechless. The Coliseum was the number one thing I wanted to see in Rome and once we got in, all I could do was just stand there and stare at it. It is truly an amazing experience to stand in that enormous building that holds so much history for Rome!

I think my trip to Rome has been the hardest to describe so to show what happened, here are pictures!

Taking pictures with gladiators!
