Chilling out, maxing, and relaxing all cool

Ciao,

After one of the hardest weeks we have had at Cimba yet, ie. 2 tests, 2 presentations, and 1 paper about 15 of us decided that we were just going to relax and kick it on campus. This turned out to be one of the best weekends that we have had thus far. With only 15 of us, it was a lot easier to get to know everyone and plan activates.

We had a basketball game right before sitting down for a NCAA basketball watch party. Watching the basketball tournament with students from other school around the country is quite different than at home. At home everyone is cheering for the same school but here there are 20 different schools represented and each has their own few teams that they would like to see win. Also we were able to learn a little about different traditions that each school has for holidays such as St. Patrick’s day which if you can imagine is more a holiday in the US now than in Ireland.

Lunch and dinner was quitter without everyone yelling over each other and some of the professors came and hung out with the few of us that stayed behind. We walked around Paderno and a few of us went to Castelcucco to get gelato. I recommend at least one weekend to stay back on campus not just to save some euros, but if you are worn down traveling is not as enjoyable as it could be and to me it’s a waste.
