University of Colorado Professor: CIMBA’s Small Class Sizes Build Community

Professor of Accounting Thomas Buchman teaches at the University of Colorado Leeds Business School and is a visiting faculty member at CIMBA. Coming from a University with more than 30,000 students, Buchman says teaching small classes at CIMBA is a treat. “You really develop a connection to the students, because, in part, you and the student are doing the same thing. You are all away from home and wondering where a good restaurant is, or signing up to take a field trip together.” Buchman, who earned his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois, says CIMBA students are “very good and highly motivated. The classes are small, the faculty is interested in students, and it is in Italy. It’s an incredible opportunity. I also tell students thinking about attending that they don’t have to be business majors. In fact, many students from our school want to come for the communications courses.”
